Jacoby is 5 months!!!

I know I say this every month, but the time is going by way too fast! Each day he grows up before our eyes. This is such a fun age. He has such personality and really plays with us now. He loves his intellitainer, and will spend good chunks of time in it throughout the day. Daddy thought he saw a tooth coming through the other day, but no such luck. We still haven't tried any solids yet, maybe next month.
We got to take another trip to the beach this month, this time with my sisters and nephew HUnter. We went down to Seaside and Jake got to take his first dip in the pool, he even put his head under the water a couple of times, just for a second though. I think Jake and I will be signing up for infant swim lessons later this summer, he seems to love the water.

Another trip to the doctor

We had to take another unplanned trip to the doctor today. Jake has been battling a cold for about a week and his cough really started sounding bad. Well turns out he has the beginnings of what could be asthma! Doctor called it Reactive Airway Disorder, sounds much worse than it is. He had to do a breathing treatment at the doctor and then went to the pharmacy to get his first inhalor. His breathing definately got much better after the treatment. My poor little guy, he really is his mother's son. He seems to feel fine other than the cough, so that's good.
On another note, he weighed in at 17 pounds 5 oz. today!! Still a few days shourt of 5 months. We also bought him his first teething ring today. I don't necessarily think he is teething, but I think he will like the cold in his mouth.
